First non-test entry on Tabulas.

Audiomatch - Interesting site for Winamp users.

The Fanimatrix! - A 16 minute video made by fans. Pretty good.

Waste 1.1 is out! It's a P2P program.

I've created the Board Game Geeks and Neko Neko Wai shared journals on Tabulas. Dunno how many will actually join, since BGG already has a geek journals feature on the site (albeit nowhere near as nice). I would promote it in the Megatokyo forums, but the influx of trolls and flamers over the years makes it unappealing to do so.

Oh yeah, to all the people who were circulating that stuff that you can read pretty much anything as long as the first and last letters are in place. Here's the counter-example made by the University of British Columbia.

Anidroccg to crad cniyrrag lcitsiugnis planoissefors at an uemannd, utisreviny in Bsitirh Cibmuloa, and crartnoy to the duoibus cmials of the ueticnd rcraeseh, a slpmie, macinahcel ioisrevnn of ianretnl cretcarahs araepps sneiciffut to csufnoe the eadyrevy oekoolnr.

Took longer than expected in the labs again today, because there were more problems and the mice were getting stuck. Thus, ended up missing Mass again (sorry Michelle!). I seem to be making it to Mass once every three weeks recently. So since I was late, went to meet up with Karen in the library to study. Then we went to The Old Teahouse for dinner where I stupidly touched the hot dish, burning myself.

Managed to finish going through my Psych 127 textbook the 2nd time through today (just looking and understanding the pictures and the bolded words over almost 250 pages). Also worked on my essay more, so it's now 4.5 pages which should trim nicely down to 4 pages, which I can do tomorrow after my research. That should leave Tuesday for possibly going to my CS GSI's OH and to complete studying for Psych 126 midterm. And perhaps go to the BST meeting. Then it's CS project till next week. The problem is, I haven't really been doing the reading for it and thus I'm worried I won't understand how to do this project properly. This project is also worth the most points. I'm probably not gonna really bother studying for my History midterm, since to write the paper I'll need to understand the concepts pretty well anyway, so I just need to keep up the reading.

BIG NOTE TO SELF: DON'T FORGET TO BUY SOME SCANTRONS BEFORE THE MIDTERM TOMORROW!

After spending hours trying to figure out a neat way to get PNG transparencies to work on IE, I gave up and used a cheap workaround. Overlay my background image with the color, and then just use that as the background image. Next, I don't fill in the containers with colors, giving the illusion of transparency. Only thing is, I lose having some parts with full color. Eh well, less processing for the browsers anyway.

And so, as of today I migrate over to Tabulas. And just so in the future people can easily access my last LJ entry from my first Tabulas entry, the old LJ URL is http://www.livejournal.com/~dracil

Oh, and I'm still writing this through Semagic, just 'cause it's convenient for linking stuff.

Found out that I was supposed to let Tiffany in at 10 today, so I rushed down to NAF, only to have her not show up. So I was thinking I had to go all the way back to Southside to buy my scantrons which I hadn't had time to buy in my rush. But then I saw Catherine and Alex, and they and another guy told me that I could get scantrons on Euclid and Ridge, saving me much time. Thanks! So I actually had time to eat a ham & cheese croissant before my midterm, which went ok.

Research proceeded much more smoothly today. The mice still get more and more timid as the trials progress though. They haven't been handled much before, so being moved between the cage and the container every couple minutes about 15 times is probably not the most soothing experience for them.

Went to Walgreens to buy some stuff. Slightly cheaper cheese, and 2-liter Pepsi for only $0.79! Will probably go back tmr or day after for more. So cheap, must stock up.

Except I came back to find myself locked out. I'd forgotten my keys earlier today in my rush to be on time to let Tiffany in. Ended up going to #16 'cause my roommates weren't home. Good thing Jenny was in. Tried to take an unsuccessful nap while waiting so started reading. Eventually she called Rilene and found the master keys but Shen had already come home by then. Oh well.

I should rewrite resume, now that I've gotten research. I should also get myself a suit so I can actually attend those interviews dressed decently.

But before then.... studying for the EVIL midterm by my EVIL professor. Would you believe we have 260+ definitions and 30+ essay questions to study? Let's see... next word... Ganzfeld – is a visual environment in which equal amounts of light from all directions arrive at a viewpoint, producing the perception of an all-encompassing gray fog. Fast typing skills sure come in handy at times like these. And I still need to find time to complete my history essay.

Ichi the Killer - very bloody and disturbing. My kind of movie! ^_^

Finally, 6 hours, 6203 words, and many distractions later, I have completed my study sheet of the 250+ definitions for my midterm on Wednesday. Of course, the whole purpose was that my typing it would help me memorize the definitions. I probably won't really go back and read it all again. Need to go through the lecture slides and essay questions instead. And finish that history essay which is really bugging me now.
