Jetlagged
POSTED AT 11:18 PM in General

So I'm back in the US and still jetlagged. Even after 2 days of trying to sleep normally. When I try to sleep, my body thinks I'm trying to nap (wake up every 1-2 hours), and just now I napped and ended up sleeping for 5 hours. This is why I like coming back a little earlier so I'm not jetlagged when school starts.

And it's *really* cold here. Makes me not want to do anything at all.

So, during my vacation I've...
* had a bunch of good food
* grown a beard (which I shaved now that I have my electric razor back, it was actually getting somewhat annoying)
* taken driving lessons (so much cheaper in Thailand! ~$6/hour)

My flight back was mixed. Eva's new planes have nice economy class sections now. The old plane though... apparently the aisle seats on the sides are a little smaller than the others, and then the guy next to me was huge so I was really cramped on my right side. Ended up getting up and walking around more than usual.

For once, I wasn't really worried during immigration/customs. Not carrying around downloaded goods helps.

Lost my ticket on the BART, but the station guy thought I was a tourist, and welcomed me to San Francisco instead. :D

Bus arrived really late but ended up being free.

It's a holiday today, so stuff is closed, which was inconvenient.
Currently feeling jetlagged

Milk
POSTED AT 02:24 AM in General

I'm still holding to the theory that American milk is probably different than Asian milk. Drinking milk when I was back home didn't do anything. So I went and bought a jug of it today. Instant diarrhea. O_o
Currently feeling blah

Hakusyaku no Tenshi

There's now a voiced version of the short flash movie!

It's a touching story and even though you may not understand fully what was going on if you don't know Japanese, you can probably get the gist of the story.
Currently feeling sleepy

ROCK MUSICAL BLEACH
POSTED AT 12:15 AM in General

The opening from ROCK MUSICAL BLEACH The Dark of The Bleeding Moon, which just came out a week ago.

That's right, Bleach actually has it's own musical. It's not a parody either and they're quite serious about it. The music is also all original (different from anime).

Currently there seems to be 3 versions of the show so far. Version 1, Version 1.5 called "Saien" and version 2 called "The Dark of the Bleeding Moon." There's appears to be two more shows after that as well, called "the LIVE 'Bankai SHOW code001'" and "No Clouds in the Blue Heaven" Version 1 and 1.5 both cover up to the end of the Soul Society arc although the end is more of a brief summary of the remaining important fights. Not bad for compressing 60+ episodes into 2 hours.

The full 1 and 1.5 versions of the show can be found on Youtube. All in all, it's actually not bad, given that Bleach in general is hard to do live-action, without special effects, and while singing. And they must be making money to keep doing it too.
