BST Party
POSTED AT 12:07 AM in General
It's been a while since we've had a gathering.
It's weird, I drink a cup of coffee for the first time in my life but I'm actually MORE tired/sleepy right now than I usually am. Seriously, caffeine is like useless for keeping me awake.
So anyway, we went to Joyce's place to make cream puffs. In all, there were 6 BST regulars and 5 related people in the house total, so it was pretty busy.
Our cream puffs were basically with rum and then + mint for the second batch of filling. There was pizza, and then tea (the English Rose Tea smelled VERY good), and then the small cup of Peaberry coffee, which with the creamer, basically tasted like milk tea, except with coffee. After that Jenny had to leave as she had another event to attend to.
Then there was a long drawn out philosophical and religious discussion. It started with me asking three questions to see whether your concept of "self" could survive after going through three trials. Hope I didn't offend anyone with my questioning their beliefs during the religious part of the discussion. Oh, if you're interested in giving the questions a try, go here: http://www.philosophersnet.com/games/identity.htm
Then we had a nice dinner, and then the others started talking about more serious stuff like mutual funds and tests, and then we decided to retire for the night. Our next gathering will probably be next month when Charlie comes!
Currently feeling exhausted, but content

1 Wais!
Oh yeah, we also saw some rodent that was in the ground. Poked its head out of the ground, even the squirrels were interested in the hole. Threw an almond inside but it just dug away and a squirrel took the almond. Later, I taught her how to play Once Upon A Time (2 classic fairy tale settings, and San Francisco setting during the gold rush, all were relatively short, and nowhere near the level of the story that David and I made) and San Juan (thought it was too complicated.
